At the present time we have two schooling jumper shows and two schooling horse trials scheduled for 2014 in Southern Pines. The schooling trial levels offered are novice, beginner-novice, and maiden. The cross country courses are meant to build confidence in horse and rider, and therefore are on the straightforward side for each of the levels, with the majority of obstacles below maximum height. The terrain is more challenging as it is hilly.
Each farm has a full array of cross country obstacles, including banks, ditches, and water in addition to the “usual fare” of verticals and oxers. However, we will not use any jumps in the lower levels which should overface any horses and riders who have entered the appropriate level.
Here is an opportunity to compete in a low key atmosphere over well built courses, and, (at least
weather permitting!) over good footing.
Thanks to StartBox Online Scoring for their enormous help in setting up, and publishing the live scoring for our schooling trials. And to all our generous, willing volunteers, who offer to come out to help us year after year, a million thanks!!!
